years however he has struggled to grace the pitch with his presence,
but after completing an extremely tough Charity bike ride, he is
returning to full fitness... You heard it here first!

Chairman - Ian "Don't Mess With Me" Halsey
In the absence of a Chairman in 2011, Ian is exactly
the type of personality we needed to take the club forward. He has
grown up with SHCC, coming as a result of our ever-successful Junior
Section. He is experienced when on the pitch and insightful once off,
he's a leader and has authority in abundance.

Alan Ridgewell... Roman God
|
2nd Team Skipper - Alan
Ridgewell
Alan joined the
club in recent years, and has
quickly gained some respect. He stepped into captaincy two years ago
and
led a very young team, although they were relegated the team are
getting stronger and stronger and last year they maintained their
division status and hope to build upon that this year. He will make
sure that everything 2ndXI related
is done...
Alan is known as 'Unlucky Al' or 'BGA', hes unlucky as he gets hit by
the ball quite often. You will have to ask him yourself what BGA stands
for!
Al's very proud of his 6 wickets whilst being on tour (leading wicket
taker), we're most proud when he gets hit in the tender parts by the
ball!

Standard day in the working life of
Steveeeeee E |
Head
Groundsman - Steve Elliott
Steve
has been with the club for many years,
and every year he does a superb job with everything related to the
grounds.
He is often the un-sung hero, as he prepares most wickets, repairs them
after use, cuts the outfield, maintains and repairs all equipment.
Steve works out of the UK most of the time so he requires help from
more volunteers.

David Ellis |
Volunteers
Coordinator - David Ellis
David
is sitting in a role that is newly
created on the Management Committee this year.
It was envisaged that David would help all the volunteers be grounded
in an area that they can then assist with the running of the club.
From previous experience there are a lot of members of the club that
"would be happy to help" but no one ever communicated what needed doing
and when- this therefore is Davids role, communicating jobs that need
doing and instructing as to how they should be done.
If this role works then it should effectively distribute the workload
efficiently.
If you would like to volunteer to help, even if its 30mins or an hour a
week please contact David.
